Caloris Q&A: Meet Dean Anderson, Project Manager
Q&A

Dean started with Caloris just a few weeks ago. Get to know him below!

Caloris: How did you get involved in this field?

Dean: From a young age I’ve always been interested in how equipment is assembled and runs. I went to school for mechanical design. How I ended up in process equipment was just by chance. I was living in northern MN and wanted to be near a major city. I found an ad for a job that built this type of equipment and have been in the industry ever since.

Caloris: What do you enjoy most about your work?

Dean: Seeing a project go through all its phases from just being a concept to working equipment has always been rewarding. On top of that, having a customer that approves is the final prize.

Caloris: What do you like most about living/working in Wisconsin?

Dean: While growing up, my family ran a small beef farm. Living in Wisconsin I’m surround by farms and I like being around the people that make farming their lifestyle. I also enjoy having four very different seasons through out the year. Wisconsin sure does provide that.

Caloris: What are your hobbies? Anything else fun you’d like to share?

Dean: In the summer it’s boating, motorcycles and shooting trap. Winter is snowboarding and snowmobiles. Year round is fishing and traveling.

Caloris: What’s your favorite cheese?

Dean: Tough question. Another benefit of living in Wisconsin. There’s so many good small family owned dairies and cheese shops, but if I have to pick a favorite an extra sharp cheddar is up there.

Caloris: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Dean: Schwan’s Dark Cherry

Caloris: Anything else you’d like to share about yourself?

Dean: My dream vacation would be a motorcycle trip through Scotland.
