Harald Klementsen just joined Caloris Engineering as a senior project manager on our spray dryer team. Get to know him here.
Caloris: How did you get involved in your field?
Harald: I have worked in the same engineering area of process equipment since graduation, most of the time with Spray Drying.

Caloris: What do you enjoy most about your work?
Harald: I enjoy building process plants, from original design, fabrication to installation, to see the finished product being made as the culmination of many hours of work. The daily interaction with colleagues, vendors, and customers, all heading in the right direction of completing a project.
You are based in Maryland. What do you like most about living/working there?
Harald: My home was Copenhagen, Denmark, until we moved to Maryland in 2011. The weather is so much better here. So far I have travelled to 34 countries in the world and 41 states in the U.S. Best travel experience: snorkeling from a long boat off the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand.
Caloris: What are your hobbies?
Harald: I love outdoor activities: golfing, kayaking, hiking, national parks. I played soccer for 25 years.
Caloris: What’s your favorite cheese?
Harald: Cheese with taste: blue cheese or sharp cheddar.
Caloris: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Harald: Strawberry with whipped cream and a cherry on top.
Caloris: Anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
Harald: My hidden talents: cooking, woodworking and home DIY projects.
