Mariana St. Peter is our newest Junior Process Engineer. Get to know Mariana here.
Caloris: How did you get involved in engineering?
Mariana: Growing up I wanted to be a soccer referee, but since my dad didn’t allow me to sign up for program, I decided to invest in the three disciplines that I like the most: mathematics, physics, and chemistry – so nothing better than Engineering to combine all of them together. I started Industrial Engineering in Brazil (where I am from) when I decided to move to the U.S to learn English. Long story short, I met my husband during this time, got married and never went back to Brazil to finish college. Since my credits didn’t transfer over from Brazil and I had to start college all over again, I decided to study Chemical Engineering due to the vast field applications.
