Caloris Q&A: Meet Pete Torseth, Chief Financial Officer
Q&A

Pete Torseth just joined Caloris as our new CFO. Get to know him here.

Caloris: How did you get involved in accounting?

Pete: I started my first semester in college thinking I would be an engineer, but one Physics class later I switched to Accounting. I’m definitely a numbers guy.

Caloris: What do you enjoy most about your work?

Pete: Trouble shooting difficult problems and finding solutions that lead to better results.

Caloris: You are based in Minnesota. What do you like most about living/working there?

Pete: Spring, Summer, Fall and the end of Winter

Caloris: What are your hobbies? Anything else fun you’d like to share?

Pete: Vacationing with just my wife and family vacations with the kids. I’m a big sports fan and although I now live in Minnesota, I am an avid Wisconsin sports fan of the Bucks, Brewers, Packers and Badgers. I’ve traveled to several stadiums throughout the country in the past, mostly for baseball. I’m a mediocre golfer on a good day, but enjoy playing when I can.

Caloris: What’s your favorite cheese?

Pete: Pepperjack, but maybe I should just say cheese curds since I’m originally from Ellsworth, WI, cheese curd capital of Wisconsin.

Caloris: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Pete: French Silk.

Caloris: Anything else you’d like to share about yourself?

Pete: Despite my mediocre golf play, I do have a hole in one on my resume.
