Theo started with Caloris just a few weeks ago. Get to know him below.
Caloris: How did you get involved in this field?
Theo: My degree is in heat transfer and fluid mechanics from Chalmers University in Gothenburg, Sweden, so working with evaporators and dryers is a perfect fit for my skill set. When I moved to the United States, I began working with solar refrigeration systems, which then led me to my career in the evaporator and dryer industry.

Caloris: What do you enjoy most about working with customers?
Theo: I get a lot of personal satisfaction when I can help customers solve a problem they have had for a long time while also saving them energy, and improving product quality.
Caloris: What do you like most about working in Easton, Maryland?
Theo: It is wonderful to work near the Chesapeake Bay, where I enjoy paddling my kayak, sailing, and fishing. Easton is such a quaint town. It has plenty of sophistication and good restaurants, but is also a real American small town.
Caloris: What are your hobbies? Anything else fun you’d like to share?
Theo: I love being outdoors. I like to hike, bike, kayak, fish, and sail, but nothing beats a long walk in the woods with my yellow lab, Charlie.
Caloris: What’s your favorite cheese?
Theo: Swedes love cheese and I am no exception. In fact, I love cheese more than most Swedes. There are a lot of good cheeses, but it is most important that they are eaten at their peak ripeness. If I had to name my favorite cheese it would probably be gorgonzola picante paired with a nice red wine.
Caloris: What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Theo: My favorite ice cream flavor is red bean and rice when it is served in Vietnam.
Caloris: Anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
Theo: I met my wife 29 years ago when we were both on a trip climbing the volcano, Agua, outside of Antigua, Guatemala. She is the reason I left Sweden and came to America. We now have two daughters.
