Industrial waste water filtration systems are a specialty of Caloris. Maybe you are seeking to reduce the volume of wastewater you are sending to your local municipality, saving you money and helping the environment. Perhaps you want to reuse process water within your plant, conserving a valuable resource. Or you could be interested in recouping valuable product from your waste stream like cleaning chemicals or similar. Our waste water filtration systems may be the answer.
Hello. My name is Simon Zimmer and I am the Business Development Manager for Water Recovery at Caloris. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Membrane Technology Forum in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The forum was an excellent venue where I had the opportunity to listen to presentations from some of the key leaders in the dairy membrane industry. My personal favorite presentations included: common cleaning mistakes for membranes; development of wastewater reuse schemes for the food industry; and ceramic membranes for the treatment of food processing wastewater. Though some of the presentations can be quite theoretical, many presenters shared case studies on how certain technologies performed in the real world and the lessons learned from their experience.
The forum also gives you the opportunity to network with companies who provide equipment and services in the industry ranging from membranes, chemicals for cleaning membranes to protein sensors.
On the last day, a tour was organized to visit two companies. The first company designs and installs membrane systems. The second company showed the unique process of how a membrane is built from scratch.
There were over 40 vendors and approximately 300 participants at the forum. I look forward to next year’s event and hope to see you there.
